Al-Arafah Islami Bank concludes month-long training on SME entrepreneurship

The closing ceremony of the month-long Entrepreneur Development Training Program organized under the SICIP project of the Special Program Department of Bangladesh Bank under the initiative of Al-Arafah Islami Bank was held at the Bangladesh Rural Development Academy (BARD) in Cumilla. During this, certificates were distributed among 25 trained small entrepreneurs and future business development plans were presented.

Managing Director (CC)of the Bank Md. Rafat Ullah Khan was present as the chief guest. SICIP Project Director and Additional Director of Bangladesh Bank Md. Nazrul Islam and Joint Director Md. Ayub Ali were present as special guests, according to a press release.

As the chief guest, Md. Rafat Ullah Khan highlighted the importance of applying various strategies and technologies for entrepreneurial development and SME business expansion.

Referring to Bangladesh Bank’s various supportive policies for the development of new and existing entrepreneurs, Nazrul Islam said, “With the slogan ‘Become an Entrepreneur, Build the Nation,’ we must move forward to promote entrepreneurship.”

Md. Ayub Ali stated that expanding banking support to enthusiastic entrepreneurs can create employment opportunities and increase income.

The event was presided over by Md. Abdur Rahim Duari, Principal of Al-Arafah Islami Bank Training Institute, with the presence of the Bank’s Deputy Managing Director S. M. Abu Jafar, Course Coordinator Saif Mohammad Zulkar Nine and senior officials.

A total of 25 new and interested entrepreneurs from the Cumilla region participated in the month-long training workshop. The entrepreneurs received both theoretical and practical education on business concepts, management, marketing, financial planning, ethics, and entrepreneurial mindset.
