Apex Footwear Ltd. successfully concludes Apex Golf Tournament 2026 at Army Golf Club

Apex Footwear Limited successfully concluded the much awaited Apex Golf Tournament 2026 at the prestigious Army Golf Club, Dhaka, marking yet another milestone in the company’s commitment to promoting sportsmanship and community engagement. 

Held from January 14 to January 17, 2026, the four-day tournament culminated in a grand closing ceremony on Saturday, January 31, featuring a prize distribution ceremony, cultural program, and gala dinner at the Golf Garden of the Army Golf Club, according to a press release.

The closing ceremony was graced by General Waker-Uz-Zaman, SBP, OSP, SGP, psc, Chief of Army Staff, Bangladesh Army, as the Chief Guest. 

Distinguished guests included Lieutenant General Khan Firoz Ahmed, OSP, ndc, afwc, psc (LPR), President of the Army Golf Club; Mr. Golam Mainuddin, Chairman of Apex Footwear Limited; and Mr. Syed Nasim Manzur, Managing Director of Apex Footwear Limited. 

Senior military officials and tournament organizers were also present, including Brig Gen Syed Ahmed Ali (CEO of Army Golf Club), Brig Gen Akhter Shahid (Chairman of the Tournament Committee), Brig Gen Mohammad Shariful Islam, (Golf Captain), Lt Col Sayful Islam (Member Secretary), Lt Col Md Gholam Monzoor Siddique (Director of Operations & Sports) and Lt Col AKM Saiful Bahar (Director of Admin & Management) alongside executive committee members and other distinguished guests. 

The tournament welcomed 813 amateur golfers competing across five categories- Regular, Veteran, Senior, Lady, and Junior, making it one of the largest amateur golf tournaments hosted at the venue.

Col Imtiaz Mahmud emerged as the overall Champion of the tournament. 

The category winners included Col Mohammad Mohiuddin (Retd) in the Veteran category, Brig Gen Abdullah-Al-Azhar (Retd) in the Senior category, Mrs. Sarmin Jahangir in the Lady category, and Master Syed Mahdi Mahbeer in the Junior category. 

Senior officials from Apex Footwear Limited, including Mr. Firoz Mohammad, Chief Executive Officer, were also present.

The overwhelming participation and seamless execution of the event reflect the growing prestige of the Apex Golf Tournament.
