The Bangladesh Agrochemical Manufacturers Association (BAMA) and the Bangladesh Seed Association (BSA) have pledged to work together to ensure food security in the country.
The commitment was made at a reception held in honour of BAMA President KSM Mostafizur Rahman.
The programme took place last week at the BSA conference room in the city.
It was chaired by Bangladesh Seed Association Chairman Mohammad Masum. BSA Senior Vice President Sheikh Abdul Halim was also present at the event.
Speakers expressed hope that BAMA and the Seed Association will work as partners in the future to ensure national food security.
KSM Mostafizur Rahman said, "We will work together to provide farmers with quality and affordable agricultural inputs, reduce import dependence, and increase local production."
KSM Mostafizur Rahman is the Managing Director of National AgriCare Group and one of the founding leaders of BAMA.
BAMA is a government-approved trade organisation of companies involved in agricultural chemical production in Bangladesh.
