The government has allowed the export of Hilsa to India ahead of Durga Puja festival.
As per approval, traders can export 3,000 tonnes of hilsa this year.
A circular in this regard has been issued by the ministry of commerce on Saturday.
This decision came following requests from several exporters, with the ministry setting specific conditions for the export.
