Bangladesh’s MPPE sector prepares for global stage at Japan Medtec with successful orientation

A successful orientation program was held at After Hour’s Residence, Banani, Dhaka by Export Competitiveness for Jobs (EC4J) Project on March 24, 2025 to prepare Bangladesh’s Medical Personal Protective Equipment(MPPE) Enterprises for their participation in Japan Medtec 2025 scheduled for April 9-11, 2025.
Bangladesh will be represented in Japan Medtec at Tokyo Big Sight on booth no. 2304 of Hall 2 and 3, according to a media release.
The EC4J Project under the Ministry of Commerce financed by World Bank has taken this initiative to showcase and create market linkage opportunities of the eminent MPPE sector of Bangladesh introduced by the Meet Bangladesh Sourcing Show (MBS) at Japan Medtec 2025.
The workshop was presided over by Dr. Md. Habibur Rahman, Deputy Secretary and Deputy Project Director of EC4J Project.
While, Sheikh Mohammad Abdur Rahman, Joint Secretary, Deputy Project Director of EC4J Project graced the workshop as chief guest.
Other Special guests were Md. Kamruzzaman, Component Coordinator-2, (Productivity Enhancement Program); Aminul Islam, Procurement Specialist, Md. Habibur Rahman, Financial Management Specialist and Abu Meraj Mohammad FuadUddin, Technical Specialist.
Client Service Executive of EC4J Project, Tanveer QamrulIslam conducted the orientation and Md. Zahid, representative of CEMS Bangladesh made a PowerPoint presentation providing insights into the project along with the Meet Bangladesh Sourcing Show (MBS) to the participants.
The event was represented by producers and manufacturers of MPPE from Nereene Karuponya, Robolife Technology, Farseeing Knite Composite-Shangu Group, Bibeat Technologies Ltd. and Datasoft Manufacturing & Assembly Inc Limited.
K.M. Rafiul Muttakin was present among many other representatives from CEMS-Global.
