To support harvesting process in labour crisis situation due to COVID-19 pandemic, Bank Asia has donated one more harvester machine to a female farmer in Sreenagar Upazila of Munshigonj district, as a part of continuing process of free distribution project of reaper machine. Earlier, Bank Asia donated six harvester machines to the farmers of Rajshahi and Nogaon districts.
Ms. Musammat Rahima Akhter, Upazila Nirhabi Officer of Sreenagar handed over the harvester machine to Ms. Nazma Begum, a female farmer of Kamargaon village at a simple ceremony held on the Upazila Muktijoddha Chattor recently. Mr. Bipul Sarker, Head of Sirajdikhan Branch, Mr. M. Akter Hossain, Business Development Manager, Agent Banking Dhaka Zone, Mr. Md. Tajul Islam, Agent of Madborhat Agent Point of Bank Asia Ltd. and Mr. Nanda Kumar Bonik, Deputy-Agriculture Office, Sreenagar were present. Farmers of Kamargaon and Arial Beel will be benefited by the machine to harvest their paddy. Each Reaper machine is able to harvest the crops of three bigha in a hour.
