Bank Asia honours retiring members of its Shariah Supervisory Committee

Bank Asia PLC has honoured four retiring members of its Shariah Supervisory Committee in recognition of their long-standing service and valuable contributions.
The honour was conferred at a program organised on 24 December 2025 at Bank Asia Tower, Karwan Bazar, Dhaka, marking the 17th anniversary of the Bank’s Islamic Banking Services, according to a press release.
The honoured members were former Chairman of the Shariah Supervisory Committee Mufti Shahed Rahmani, former Member Secretary Mawlana Shah Mohammad Wali Ullah, former Faqih Members Mawlana Mohammad Mofazzal Hussain Khan and Dr. Mawlana Muhammad Ismail Hussain.
The commemorative crests and gifts were presented to the members in recognition of their significant contributions.
Deputy Managing Director Mr. Arequl Arefeen, along with other Deputy Managing Directors of the Bank, were present at the program.
Head of Islamic Banking and other department heads of the bank were also present at the event.
In addition, Heads of Islamic Banking Windows, Branch Managers and other officials from different branches joined the program virtually.
During the program, the retiring members’ long journey, dedication and significant contributions to the development of Bank Asia Islamic Banking operation were gratefully acknowledged.
