Bank Asia, Shakti Foundation ink deal on women empowerment

Bank Asia and Shakti Foundation for Disadvantaged Women recently signed an agreement aiming to promote digital financial inclusion among Shakti’s beneficiaries.

 Md Arfan Ali, President & Managing Director of Bank Asia, the pioneering Agent Banking provider in Bangladesh, and Humaira Islam PhD, Founder & Executive Director of Shakti Foundation, a prominent micro finance institution and the pioneer in urban micro finance, inked the agreement on behalf of respective sides at a simple ceremony held at the Head Office of Shakti Foundation at Mirpur in Dhaka. Senior officials of both the organizations were present, said a statement.
