Biman Bangladesh Airlines’ new Chairman Sheikh Bashir Uddin, has pledged to eliminate “chaos” at the flag carrier and turn it into a successful enterprise.
On Wednesday, he said he was unable to give full details of the portfolio at the time.
“When I was assigned the aviation ministry portfolio, I said that I could not comment at that time. I was not even in Dhaka then, and I am unable to give full details now,” he said while speaking in Chattogram.
Calling for cooperation, Bashir Uddin added: “We will strive to end disorder and build Biman into a smoothly run, successful enterprise. We seek your prayers.”
He was officially appointed chairman by the aviation ministry on Tuesday.
The following day, he visited the under-construction tourist complex at Parki Beach in Anwara Upazila, Chattogram.
