Bangladesh Bank (BB) has recently promoted Muhammad Mustafizur Rahman to the position of Director, recognising his professional competence, dedication, and significant contributions to the organisation.
Prior to this promotion, Mr. Rahman served as an Additional Director in the SME and Special Programs Department. His career spans diverse roles, including serving as a Lecturer in Computer Science & Engineering at a university, working as an Assistant Engineer in Bangladesh Civil Service and working as the Financial Sector Consultant to the World Bank Office, Dhaka before transitioning into central banking.
Mr. Rahman holds a strong academic background with a multidisciplinary background in finance, technology, and policy. With significant expertise in SME finance policy, he contributed to national initiatives aimed at strengthening access to finance, and fostering entrepreneurship.
