BB top officials hold talks with Commercial Bank of Ceylon to explore growth opportunities

In a key discussion following the IMF and World Bank Annual Meeting, Dr Ahsan H Mansur, Governor of Bangladesh Bank, and Dr Md Habibur Rahman, Deputy Governor, held high-level talks with Mr Sharhan Muhseen, Chairman, and Mr Sanath Manatunge, Global Managing Director of Commercial Bank of Ceylon PLC. The leaders convened to exchange insights on Bangladesh’s macroeconomic challenges and opportunities for growth, according to a media statement Monday.

The discussions focused on collaborative measures to support Bangladesh's financial sector by strengthening banking sector resilience, ensuring sustainable foreign exchange reserves, and advancing economic reforms.

Sri Lanka reaffirmed its commitment to deepening economic cooperation and supporting Bangladesh in overcoming its financial challenges through their experience & shared strategies and resources.
