BCCCI Bi-annual election held followed by charge handover to newly elected EC

The charge-handover and taking over of charge by the newly elected Executive Committee (EC) of Bangladesh China Chamber of Commerce & Industry (BCCCI) was held on Thursday (October 09, 2025) at the BCCCI office in Gulshan, Dhaka, presided over by Mst. Nargis Murshida, Administrator of BCCCI and Joint Secretary, Ministry of Commerce.

The ceremony was attended by most of the newly elected Members of the EC.

The Chairman of the Election Board announced the name of newly elected EC members of BCCCI term 2025-2027.

Mst. Nargis Murshida formally handed over the charge of the Chamber to the newly elected President Mohd. Khorshed Alam, while she recalled the contribution of the new President for standing all alone by the Chamber during hard time that led to the election and his being elected uncontested along with all the 24 EC Members elected uncontested for the term of 2025-2027.

The new EC was formally taken over the charge of the Chamber as the newly elected officials took over the vow of trust of all Members of the Chamber as the custodian of BCCCI for the tenure of 2025-2027.

The function was followed by prayer offered to the health and happiness of all Members and the assumed responsibilities to run the Chamber towards fulfilment of the mission and vision of BCCCI with due diligence, transparency and accountability.

On 08 October Mr. Md. Sayed Ali, the Chairman of BCCCI Election Board, declared the 24-Member newly elected EC of BCCCI, for the term 2025-2027 with Mohd. Khorshed Alam as President, Jamilur Rahman as Secretary General.

As there was no contesting panel, or individual candidate, the below-mentioned officials have been elected uncontested.

The Bi-annual election of BCCCI was conducted by Mst. Nargis Murshida, Administrator of BCCCI and Joint Secretary to the Ministry of Commerce.

Mr. Mohd. Khorshed Alam took over the charge from BCCCI Administrator, Mst. Nargis Murshida.

The outgoing Administrator gave a statement on the earnings and expenditure during her tenure as Administrator of BCCCI.
