The 39th Annual General Meeting of Bangladesh General Insurance Co PLC (BGIC) was held on 28 August 2024 on Virtual platform at Head office.
At the beginning a special Dua was offered for the eternal peace of the departed souls of BGIC’s Founder late M.A. Samad and other members who departed earlier including with the presented Shareholders, says a press release.
Chairman of the company Towhid Samd presided over the meeting.
A large number of shareholders including Ahmed Saifuddin Chowdhury, Managing Director & CEO of the company, were present on the meeting.
BGIC, the first General Insurance Company in the private sector of Bangladesh approved 10 per cent Cash Dividend on enhanced paid up capital of approximately Tk 540.03 million for the year 2023.
The meeting was also attended by Vice-Chairman Salim Bhuiyan, Public Director Md Shakil Rizvi, Nominated Director Mohammad Manjur Mahmud, Independent Director Nasir Uddin Chowdhury and Senior Officers.
Saifuddin Ahmed, Assistant Managing Director & Company Secretary, conducted the meeting smoothly.
