BIDA sees 13.38pc rise in Q3 investment proposals

The aggregate amount involving the investment proposals registered with Bangladesh Investment Development Authority (BIDA) rose by 13.38 per cent during July-September period (Q3) of 2018 calendar year over the preceding three months (April-June).

BIDA registered investment proposals - both foreign and local - worth Tk 578.34 billion for a total of 380 industrial units during July-September period of this year.

The amount was Tk 243.64 billion during April-June period of 2018, according to a press release of BIDA.

Of the total investment proposals during July-September period, BIDA received local proposals amounting to 309.48 billion for some 344 industrial units.

The amount of local investment proposals was Tk 215.86 billion in April-June period.

On the other hand, investment proposals amounting to a total of Tk 268.86 billion were registered with BIDA during July-September period for setting up 17 cent per cent foreign units and 19 joint-venture industries, the press release added.
