Biman suspends Manchester flights for Hajj season

Biman Bangladesh Airlines suspended its flights on Dhaka-Sylhet-Manchester route from May 01 to July 10 this year, aiming to free up aircraft for transporting Hajj pilgrims to Saudi Arabia.

The return flights on this route will also remain suspended for the same period, according to a press release issued by Biman's General Manager (Public Relations) Boshra Islam.

"Biman Bangladesh Airlines has taken a plan to operate Hajj flights with the highest priority like every year to make the journey of the Hajj pilgrims smooth and comfortable," the press statement said.

The changes in the availability of flights were made considering the demand of passengers on different routes, according to the statement.

After the completion of the Hajj season. flights on the Dhaka-Sylhet-Manchester route will resume on July 11, operating twice a week as before.

Tickets for this route will be open for sale on all distribution channels including Biman sales counters, Biman website, and mobile apps after July 11.

If anyone has already purchased a ticket for the Dhaka-Sylhet-Manchester flights, or return flights from May 01 to July 10, they will get a refund without any additional cost, or they can change the flight date free of cost depending on availability of seats.

Apart from this, the passengers have scope to change their travel route from Dhaka-Sylhet-Manchester to Dhaka-Sylhet-London free of cost, if they wish. The same offer would be applied to the return route as well.
