BRAC Bank conducts CAREERtalk at Asian University for Women

BRAC Bank recently hosted its signature career guidance programme, CAREERtalk, at the Asian University for Women (AUW), creating an interactive platform for students to engage with industry professionals.

Held on July 13, 2025, at the university’s campus, the session saw active participation from faculty members and students, according to a press release. 

From BRAC Bank, the attendees included Akhteruddin Mahmood, Head of Human Resources, along with officials from the Human Resources Division and Distribution Network.

Senior faculty members from AUW took part in the dialogue, including Dr. Sangita Rayamajhi, Professor of Literature and Gender Studies and Director of the Centre for Leadership and Professional Development (CLPD); Dr. John Matthew, Dean of the Arts and the Humanities and Professor of the History of Science; Dr. Richard Sherman, Associate Professor of International Relations and Political Science; Dr. Moinul Islam, Professor of Economics; and Dr. Md. Kamrujjaman, Professor of Mathematics and Programme Director of Applied Mathematics and Data Science.

The session covered current trends in banking, digital innovation, and the skills needed to thrive in a competitive job market.

Akhteruddin Mahmood stated, “Today’s students are tomorrow’s decision-makers. Through CAREERtalk, BRAC Bank aims to instil industry insights early, helping them navigate their ambitions with clarity and confidence.”
