BRAC Bank equips 30 women with digital business skills in Narsingdi

BRAC Bank, in collaboration with Bangladesh Open Source Network (BdOSN), organised a three-day training programme in Narsingdi for 30 women entrepreneurs, equipping them with the digital skills needed to accelerate business growth.
Held at the Cooperative Zonal Institute from September 9 to 11, 2025, the programme offered intensive mentorship, training and networking to help participants scale their ventures, reach wider markets, and inspire other women to pursue entrepreneurship.
Organised under Amrai TARA, BRAC Bank’s flagship women-entrepreneurship initiative supported by the Gates Foundation, the programme strengthens business acumen and fosters long-term empowerment through access to finance, mentorship and market linkages. BdOSN experts also guided participants in digital strategies to tap fast-growing platforms such as e-commerce, social media commerce, and other emerging channels.
Distinguished guests included Munir Hasan, President of BdOSN, and Kazi Dilruba Akter, Head of Cottage and Micro Business, SME Banking, BRAC Bank.

So far, BRAC Bank has provided skill development training to over 3,000 women entrepreneurs across 20 districts and aims to expand this programme to women entrepreneurs in all districts across the country.
