BRAC Bank expands global remittance network with six new international partners

BRAC Bank has strengthened its international remittance network by partnering with six leading exchange houses in the UK, Canada, Italy, the UAE, Oman, and Qatar.

This strategic move enhances financial services for Bangladeshi wage earners abroad, ensuring secure and seamless money transfers, according to a media release. 

With BRAC Bank’s trusted digital remittance channels, expatriates can now send money home more conveniently. Many new partners offer app-based, cashless transactions, enabling a fully digital experience. Migrants can transfer funds instantly to BRAC Bank accounts and access full-fledged internet banking through BRAC Bank’s digital banking app, Astha.

BRAC Bank’s continued expansion enhances connectivity for remittance beneficiaries with expatriates from all over the world, including the Middle East, Southeast Asia, the Far East, the USA, the UK, and Africa, the release says. 

The bank’s expanding network ensures easy cash withdrawals at 189 branches, 74 sub-branches, and 1,114 Agent Banking outlets nationwide. Additionally, expatriates can email [email protected] to open accounts, including Probashi, NFCD, FD, DPS, and NRB bond purchases.

With eKYC, foreign currency accounts can be opened effortlessly, and the “Probashi Poribar” account offers life insurance, fixed interest rates, and monthly payouts. Offshore banking services also provide competitive fixed deposit interest rates, according to the release.
