BRAC Bank holds awareness programme on ‘Cashless Bangladesh’ in Barishal

BRAC Bank recently held an awareness programme in Barishal to promote the ‘Cashless Bangladesh’ initiative by Bangladesh Bank.

The session was organised on June 4 to disseminate the message of cashless transactions and their positive impact on society, according to a press release.

Jahirul Islam, Joint Director of Bangladesh Bank Barishal Region, attended the programme as the chief guest. Nazmul Haq, acting Regional Head, SME Banking Division; Bipul Krishna Karmaker, Cluster Manager of the bank’s South Bengal Region, Distribution Network; and senior officials were present.

During the session, the Bangladesh Bank official asked the bankers to educate and encourage customers to use Bangla QR transactions, which helps make ‘Cashless Bangladesh’.

All branch and SME Banking Office officials from the Barishal region were present at the programme.
