BRAC Bank hosts legal workshop on court proceedings under Artha Rin Adalat Ain

BRAC Bank has recently organised a daylong workshop titled “Practical Court Proceedings under Artha Rin Adalat Ain and Related Laws”.

The workshop was conducted by Mohammad Manirojjaman, Senior Assistant Secretary (Joint District and Sessions Judge), Ministry of Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs, according to a press release.

Eighty officials from the bank’s head office and regional offices joined the session on June 22, 2025 under the initiative of its Legal and Recovery Division.

Tareq Refat Ullah Khan, Managing Director & CEO (Current Charge), BRAC Bank, attended as the chief guest, while Indrajit Sur, Acting Head of SME Banking, was present as the special guest.

Barrister Rasheed Ahmed, Chief Legal Officer, and Mustafizur Rahman, Head of Litigation Management at BRAC Bank, were present in the knowledge-intensive engagement.

The knowledge-sharing workshop aims to enhance the capabilities of officials involved in loan recovery, particularly in judicial procedures. It is designed to equip Legal and Recovery teams with the necessary legal understanding to facilitate faster and more effective resolution of default loan cases under the Artha Rin Adalat Ain and other relevant laws.

BRAC Bank believes that such initiatives will further enhance professional expertise across teams and contribute to reducing Non-Performing Loans (NPLs), ensuring good governance in the banking sector.
