BRAC Bank has inaugurated a new sub-branch at Aftabnagar in Dhaka. With this addition, the bank’s sub-branch network now stands at 97, according to a press release.
Vice Chairperson Faruq Mayeenuddin Ahmed formally inaugurated the sub-branch at Basic Mansuba Tower, Plot # A-24, Block # A, Aftabnagar Housing in Dhaka on August 17, 2025.
Managing Director & CEO (Current Charge) Tareq Refat Ullah Khan and Deputy Managing Director & Head of Branch Distribution Network Sheikh Mohammad Ashfaque, Senior Zonal Head for North A. K. M. Tareq, and senior officials of the bank's Distribution Network were present.
Aftabnagar is one of Dhaka's growing residential areas with several universities, wholesale bazaars and urban establishments in its proximity.
BRAC Bank launched the Sub-branch Network as part of its multi-channel distribution strategy, aiming to bring the best banking services to customers across the country.
The new sub-branch will offer a range of modern banking services that will provide convenience to individual and business customers. Customers can avail of all banking services such as account opening, cash deposit and withdrawal, deposit pension scheme, fund transfer using EFTN and RTGS, remittance service, utility bill, credit card, student file, consumer loan, debit card, and chequebook processing, Astha App enrollment, school banking, savings instruments, and many more, except for foreign exchange services.
The bank’s expansive network includes 288 branches and sub-branches, 330 ATMs, 446 SME Unit Offices, and 1,121 Agent Banking Outlets, making it one of the largest in Bangladesh.
