BRAC Bank installs ATMs at 5 MRT stations to provide banking convenience to commuters

BRAC Bank has expanded its alternate banking footprint by installing ATMs at five key stations of Dhaka’s MRT Line-6, bringing fast and seamless banking services closer to daily commuters. 

The ATMs are now operational at Pallabi, Mirpur-10, Farmgate, Shahbagh, and Bangladesh Secretariat stations of MRT Line-6, according to a press release.

As Dhaka Metro Rail continues to redefine urban mobility, BRAC Bank’s presence at MRT stations ensures round-the-clock access to essential banking services for a digitally driven, on-the-move city dwellers.

Beyond cash withdrawal, commuters can enjoy fund transfers, balance inquiries, cardless cash withdrawals, bKash cash-out services, and other smart banking features through these technologically advanced ATMs.

This initiative follows a strategic agreement between BRAC Bank and Dhaka Mass Transit Company Limited (DMTCL), the operator of MRTs, to establish ATM and CRM facilities across MRT Line-6.

From DMTCL, Brig. Gen. (retd) Md. Abdul Ohab, NDC, P Eng, Project Director; Khondoker Ehteshamul Kabir (Joint Secretary), Company Secretary; and from BRAC Bank, Imtiaz Ahmed, Head of Alternate Delivery Channels; Nakib Zaman, Regional Head, Distribution Network; Khondker Emdadul Haq, Head of Government Relations; Sabina Sarmin, Cluster Manager; were present.

Commenting on the ATM facilities at the MRT, Nazmur Rahim said, “By integrating banking access into daily commute points, we are making financial services faster, smarter, and more convenient for urban customers. We will enhance our ATM presence in key urban hubs and transport points to provide banking convenience to the people.”

With a nationwide network of 329 ATMs, 103 CRMs, and 68 RCDMs, BRAC Bank continues to strengthen its alternate banking channels, reinforcing its commitment to expanding accessible, technology-led banking solutions across Bangladesh.
