BRAC Bank has recently introduced Visa Multicurrency SME Business Debit and Credit Cards to enable small and medium enterprise (SME) customers to perform authorised B2B local and foreign currency transactions, supporting smoother business operations.
The cards were launched at a ceremony held on Wednesday at the bank’s head office, according to a press release.
Guests of honour included Sabbir Ahmed, Country Manager – Bangladesh, Nepal and Bhutan, Visa, and Nazeem Hassan Satter, Deputy Managing Director, SME Foundation.
The launch marks a significant step in expanding foreign currency transactions in line with regulatory guidelines, while strengthening SMEs to engage in cross-border business activities.

Under this facility, SME customers can perform foreign currency transactions of up to USD 3,000 annually.
The cards can be used for POS, ATM, and e-commerce transactions both locally and globally, enabling SMEs to expand operational reach, manage overseas payments efficiently, and participate more actively in the global economy.
