BRAC Bank’s women’s banking segment, TARA, promoted ‘Sakhi,’ a unique dance recital featuring 90 talented women from diverse professions, according to a press release Monday.

Held on December 6 at Chhayanaut Auditorium, the evening featured a rich tapestry of performances by women from various professions, each showcasing strength, creativity, and the resolve to chase their dreams.

Arthy Ahmed directed the event, Nirjher Chowdhury directed the music, and BRAC Bank TARA patronised it.

The recital drew an enthusiastic response, with two back-to-back shows attended by over 500 guests, including 200 TARA customers and their spouses.

Syed Abdul Momen, Deputy Managing Director and Head of SME Banking of BRAC Bank, emphasised the bank's commitment to empowering women from all walks of life. “At BRAC Bank, our vision is clear: we empower women by helping them turn their aspirations into reality through financial independence and pursuing their passions,” he stated.

“Sakhi has been an exciting experience for me. This project celebrates the courage, determination, and joy of women who have embraced their love for dance as adult beginners. Sakhi is not just a dance performance; it is an urge for women to realise their latent talents. It highlights that pursuing dreams is always possible, no matter the stage of life,” stated Nurun Nahar, Chief Technology Officer of BRAC Bank.

Through initiatives like ‘Sakhi,’ BRAC Bank TARA nurtures a supportive ecosystem that inspires women to take bold steps in their personal lives, careers, and cultural endeavours. This celebration of dreams and friendship highlighted the participants’ passionate journeys and reinforced BRAC Bank’s commitment to supporting women in fulfilling their aspirations.
