BRAC Bank to enable digital gas bill collection for Karnaphuli Gas Distribution Company

BRAC Bank has entered into a partnership with Karnaphuli Gas Distribution Company Limited to enable online gas bill collection, strengthening digital payment accessibility for customers across its service areas.

Under this partnership, BRAC Bank, through its nationwide branch and sub-branch network, will facilitate gas bill collection from both corporate and domestic customers of Karnaphuli Gas Distribution Company Limited, according to a media release. 

The bank will also establish API connectivity with Karnaphuli Gas to ensure real-time updates of bill payment records, enhancing operational efficiency and reconciliation accuracy.

In addition, BRAC Bank will enable gas bill payments through CORPNET, its online banking platform for corporate clients, and Astha, its digital banking platform for retail customers. Both platforms will be integrated with API connectivity to ensure real-time transaction updates and automated record synchronisation.

The partnership was formalised in Chattogram on 5 May 2026 by Md. Shaheen Iqbal, Additional Managing Director and Head of Wholesale Banking, BRAC Bank, and Kabir Uddin Ahmmed, General Manager (Additional Charge), Company Secretariat Division, Karnaphuli Gas Distribution Company Limited, on behalf of their respective organisations.

The event was attended by A K M Faisal Halim, Head of Transaction Banking, BRAC Bank, and Engr. Md. Salahuddin, Managing Director, Karnaphuli Gas Distribution Company Limited, along with senior officials from both organisations.

Speaking on the occasion, Md Salahuddin said, “BRAC Bank’s strong credit profile, digital capabilities and customer-centric approach have positioned it among the leading private commercial banks in the country. We are optimistic that the collaboration would enhance customer service through streamlined and technology-driven bill collection processes.”
