BRAC Bank to provide customised banking services to Consulate of Zambia in Bangladesh

BRAC Bank has embarked on a strategic banking partnership with the Office of Consulate of the Republic of Zambia in Bangladesh.

The bank signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the Consulate on the sidelines of the launching of the Office of Honourary Consulate of the Republic of Zambia in Bangladesh at the Zambia-Bangladesh Business Forum—Dhaka 2025 on May 14, 2025, at Sheraton Dhaka, according to a press statement.

The agreement was signed in the presence of a delegation from the government of Zambia led by Crusivia C. Hichikumba, Permanent Secretary-Investment and Industrialisation, Ministry of Commerce, Trade and Industry.

Dr. Mohd Zayed Alam, Honourary Consul General of the Republic of Zambia in Bangladesh; and Tareq Refat Ullah Khan, Additional Managing Director & Head of Corporate & Institutional Banking, BRAC Bank; signed the MoU.

Md. Anwar Hossain, Vice Chairman & CEO, Export Promotion Bureau; Md. Mushfiqur Rahman, Chairperson, SME Foundation; Mahbubur Rahman, Secretary, Ministry of Commerce, Bangladesh, were present.

From BRAC Bank, and AKM Faisal Halim, Head of Transaction Banking; and Arif Chowdhury, Unit Head, Transaction Banking, were present.

The diplomatic office will enjoy advanced banking services powered by tailor-made transaction banking solutions and Corpnet, a technologically superior internet banking platform.
