BRAC Bank wins Bankers Cricket Tournament 2025

BRAC Bank secured the championship title at the Bankers Cricket Tournament 2025 with a 4-wicket win over Mercantile Bank in the final held in Cox’s Bazar.

Chasing 107 runs in 15 overs, the team of amateur corporate cricketers demonstrated great values and team spirit, resulting in a composed finish to seal the victory.

The tournament brought together six leading banks—BRAC Bank, Mercantile Bank, Standard Chartered Bank (SCB), Dhaka Bank, City Bank, and Eastern Bank. BRAC Bank dominated the field with consistent performances, including a 9-wicket win against SCB and a 7-wicket victory over Mercantile Bank during the group stage.

BRAC Bank Team Captain Alauddin Mona, Officer, Procurement, was named Player of the Tournament and Best Batter. Eashan Banik, Officer, Card Operations, earned Player of the Final and Best Bowler, underscoring BRAC Bank’s all-round strength.

Brigadier General Md Amin Akbar (Retd.), Head of General Services and Patron of the BRAC Bank Cricket Team, said: “This victory is not just about cricket—it reflects the strength of our teamwork, discipline, and unwavering commitment to excellence.”
