The cabinet committee on economic affairs on Monday approved in principle two proposals to select partners to run two closed textile mills of Bangladesh Textile Mills Corporation (BTMC) under Public Private Partnership (PPP).
The committee at a meeting, chaired by Finance Minister Abul Hassan Mahmood Ali, approved the proposals to rerun the mills located in Chittagong and Rajshahi.
With this approval, the BTMC will now select private partners and sign deals to run the mills.
