Masudur Rahman, President of Canada Bangladesh Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CanCham Bangladesh) passed away on Wednesday.
"It is with profound sorrow that we inform the passing away of Masudur Rahman," CanCham said in a statement.
He was the founder President of CanCham Bangladesh, established in 2005, and was re-elected in the same position several times, according to a UNB report.
Masudur Rahman has played a great role in strengthening and expanding Canada – Bangladesh bilateral trade and economic relations, said the CanCham.
He was also the Managing Director of Crane Ltd and Chairman of Asia Securities Ltd.
