Farid Al Mamun, deputy commissioner, auction unit of the port, said auction products were exhibited since Wednesday to Friday for buyers, reports UNB.

Various goods in 361 containers will be sold out in 174 separate lots as its owners failed to release their products in time from the port, he said.

The products include- four luxury cars, 150 tonnes onion, 174 tonnes buffalo meat, 24 containers of apple, 729 tonnes various animal meats, 40 containers of garment products, nine tonnes fish, eight containers of art paper and 28 containers of various machineries, said Mamun.

The customs activities at the country’s largest port remained literally closed during the last three months due to Covid-19 pandemic.
