China Harbour Engineering Company Ltd (CHEC) provided ten tonnes of rice, two tonnes of sugar, two thousand packets of Vermicelli, and two tonnes of potato for distribution among two thousand poor families of Kashba Upazila in Brahmanbaria.
Md Shahed Ramjan, chief coordinator of CHEC Bangladesh handed over the relief materials to Rashedul Kawser Bhuiyan Jibon, Chairman of Kashba Upazila recently, according to a media release.
Earlier, the company donated medical items to Bangladesh government, foodstuffs and Corona protection materials for poor people at different area including Mirsarai and Anowara Upazilas in Chattogram, Madaripur and Tangail.
“During last few days we delivered emergency foodstuffs for the poor families in several districts across the country and we are very happy to continue our foodstuff support to starving families. They are going through a difficult period due to the nationwide lockdown over coronavirus, especially before Eid festival. We always keep in mind our social responsibility”, said Shahed Ramjan.
