China has sought cooperation of Bangladesh Knitwear Manufacturers and Exporters Association (BKMEA) in building a bonded warehouse in Bangladesh to store raw materials and necessary chemicals.
On the other hand, the BKMEA leaders also sought China's cooperation in exchanging technical know-how and expertise.
The issues came up at a bilateral meeting of the BKMEA with a delegation of leaders and representatives from 36 institutions and organisations in China on Monday.
The delegation was led by the Chinese Enterprises Association in Bangladesh (CEAB).
Besides, the delegation included representatives from China Textile Engineering Society, China National Garments Association, Donghua University, China National Textile and Apparel Council and 42 more representatives from 31 other institutions.
Held at the BKMEA head office, the meeting was presided over by Fazle Shamim Ehsan, vice-president of the association.
