Citizens Bank signs deal with Bangladesh Bank for refinancing female entrepreneurs in CMSMEs

Citizens Bank PLC signed partnership agreement with Bangladesh Bank under the “Refinancing Scheme for Women Entrepreneurs in Cottage, Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (CMSMEs)”at Bangladesh Bank head office recently.

Mr. Alamgir Hossain, Managing Director of Citizens Bank PLC and Mr. Muhammad Mustafizur Rahman, Director (Current Charge), SME & Special Programs Department (SMESPD), Bangladesh Bank signed the deed of agreement on behalf of the respective organizations.

Ms. Nurun Nahar, Deputy Governor, Bangladesh Bank and Ms. Husne Ara Shikha, Executive Director, Bangladesh Bank were present on the occasion. Deputy Managing Directors of Citizens Bank Mr. Md. Mostafizur Rahman and Mr. Md. Abdul Latif along with other officials of the both organizations were also present. As per the agreement, women entrepreneurs in the SME sector of Citizens Bank PLC. will be able to avail low-cost financing facilities under Bangladesh Bank’s refinancing scheme.
