Community Bank Bangladesh donates Tk 3 million to chief adviser's relief fund

Community Bank Bangladesh PLC has donated Tk 3 million (Tk 30 lakh) to the Chief Adviser's Relief and Welfare Fund to support flood victims as part of its corporate social responsibility (CSR) efforts, says a media release.
The contribution was formally presented on Tuesday (September 10) by Md Hasnat Khan Rezvi from the Sustainable Finance Unit and Dedarul Karim from the Marketing Department of Community Bank. They handed over a pay order for Tk 3 million to Faruk-e-Azam, Adviser to the Ministry of Disaster Management and Relief of the Interim Government of Bangladesh. Also present at the event was Md Kamrul Hasan, Secretary of Disaster Management and Relief.
In addition to this donation, Community Bank’s employees have contributed an amount equivalent to their one day's salary to the same fund, demonstrating the bank's collective commitment to aiding those affected by the recent floods.
