Community Bank & Zaytoon Fintech collaborate to Promote Greater Financial Inclusion using Bangla QR–Enabled Digital Payments

Community Bank Bangladesh PLC and Zaytoon Fintech Limited have entered into a strategic partnership to deliver integrated digital financial solutions, reinforcing their shared commitment to advancing financial inclusion across Bangladesh.

Through the rollout of Bangla QR Merchant Acquiring Services, the collaboration aims to broaden access to secure and seamless banking and payment services, particularly in geographically dispersed areas and among underserved and marginalised communities, according to a press release.

As outlined in the official agreement, Zaytoon Fintech Limited will operate as a Payment System Operator – White Label Merchant Acquirer (PSO-WLMA), providing Bangla QR–based payment and acquiring services through Community Bank Bangladesh PLC’s extensive nationwide distribution network.

The agreement was formally signed at the Head Office of Community Bank Bangladesh PLC. by Mr. Kimiwa Saddat, Managing Director (Current Charge) of Community Bank Bangladesh PLC., and Mr. Md. Arfan Ali, Chairman of Zaytoon Fintech Limited, on behalf of their respective organizations.

The signing ceremony was attended by senior executives from both institutions.

Representing Community Bank Bangladesh PLC, attendees included Mr. Shamsul Haque Sufyani, Chief Operating Officer; Mr. SK PervesMaraker, Head of Agent Banking, Foreign Remittance, Transaction Banking & Strategic Business Unit; Dr. Md. Ariful Islam, Head of Corporate Banking and Head of Business (Branch); Mr. Md. Tanjim Morshed Bhuiyan, CITO, Head of DFS & Deputy Head of RMD; and Mr. Sarfuddin Md. RedwanPatwary, Head of Operations, among other senior officials.

From Zaytoon Fintech Limited were Mr. Md. Mizanur Rahman, Managing Director; Mr. Sabit Israr, Director; Mr. Akber Hossain, Director; along with other senior officials.

Both organisations expressed optimism that this partnership will further strengthen the country’s digital transaction ecosystem and accelerate inclusive financial access nationwide.
