The interim government has suspended all negotiations, selections, and purchasing processes of all power and energy projects under the Quick Enhancement of Electricity and Energy Supply (Special Provision) Act 2010.
Adviser for power, energy, road transport, and bridges Muhammad Fouzul Kabir Khan told newsmen in his office in the secretariat on Sunday.
All activities under the already inked deals under the special law, known as ‘black law’ in the power and energy sector will, however, be continued, he said on his first day in office after swearing in as the adviser of the new interim government headed by Nobel Laureate professor Dr Muhammad Yunus.
“We shall, however, review the terms and conditions of the deals already inked under the law,” said Mr Khan.
