Country’s first crowd-funding digital platform to provide zakat launched

The country's first crowdfunding digital platform ‘EkDesh’ was launched with the aim of making it easier for any government or non-government organisation to provide zakat or financial grants.

State Minister for Information and Communication Technology (ICT) Zunaid Ahmed Palak announced the official launch of the platform through an online inaugural event on Friday.

Mr. NM Ziaul Alam, senior secretary, Information and Communication Technology Division, presided over the ceremony.

Former principal coordinator of Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) at the Prime Minister's Office (PMO), Md Abul Kalam Azad, who is also president of Bangladesh Scouts, also, among others, attended the function.
