CRAB holds 21st Annual General Meeting

The Credit Rating Agency of Bangladesh Ltd. (CRAB) held its 21st Annual General Meeting on December 3, 2025.

The meeting was chaired by CRAB’s Chairperson Noor A. Alam Chowdhury.

Also present were Board Members Tapan Chowdhury (Managing Director, SQUARE Pharmaceuticals Ltd.);  Asif Ibrahim (Vice Chairman, New Age Group of Industries); Raihan Rahman (Director, Groundstone Corporation, Canada); Tania Nusrat Zaman (Former Policy Expert, UNDP and World Bank);  Asif Saad Bin Shams (AMD & CRO, IDLC Finance PLC, representing IDLC); Md. Nurul Huda (DMD, ICB, representing ICB); Sahil Humayun(representing Unicorn Equities Ltd.); and  Shahed Shams Azad, Managing Director & CEO of CRAB.

In his remarks, the Chairperson stated that despite the challenging economic and political environment in the country, CRAB’s achievements in 2024–25 were made possible through the combined efforts of shareholders, board members, the management team, and clients. He emphasized that enhancing service quality and coverage, developing human resources, and expanding technology adoption will remain CRAB’s top strategic priorities in the coming years.

Managing Director Shahed Shams Azad presented the activities and progress of the fiscal year 2024–25, also highlighting CRAB’s continued commitment to technology-driven innovations in its rating services.
