Dhaka Chamber of Commerce and Industry (DCCI) is planning to organise a business delegation to Vietnam (Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City) during the period from August 4 to 9 this 2024.
The delegation will be led by Mr Ashraf Ahmed, president, DCCI, according to a press release.
The purpose of the visit is to explore trade and investment opportunities and broadening business to business linkages by connecting exporters, importers and investors of both countries. During the visit, the DCCI plans to organise activities such as business forum, B2B matchmaking meetings, and industry visit, the release says.
The DCCI invited its members to join the delegation having business exposure/interest in the fields of agro & food processing, light engineering, furniture, pharmaceuticals, logistics, construction materials (prefabricated steel, clinkers), information technology and other manufacturing and service industries (as deem promising by the potential delegate to connect with Vietnamese businesses), according to the DCCI release.
The registration fee for a member to be included in the delegation is Tk 60,000, early bird registration by May 30, and Tk 70,000, late registration fee by June 10, it said.
Registration fee includes the costs for group-wise local transport for shuttling from hotel to meeting venues, cost for printing delegation handbook, delegation badge, sightseeing (Ha Long Bay) and facilitating delegation activities such as B2B meetings. However, it does not include costs such as visa application fee, air ticket, intercity movement, hotel, food, local transport etc. All costs, as mentioned above, including registration fee shall be borne by the respective members of the delegation, according to the DCCI release.
In the delegation, the DCCI made it clear that the delegation registration fee is non-refundable, except in the circumstances that a delegate is refused visa by the Embassy, despite following all guidelines given by DCCI or the applicant delegate is dropped by the DCCI due to the maximum number of delegates being reached.
