Defining innovation…delivering success!

From the very beginning of his life, the word ‘innovation’ resonated in the mind of Hitoishi Chakma. As a Bangladeshi he always wanted to do something for his community and for Bangladesh. Completing BSc & Msc in CSE, he thought it’s impossible for him to go abroad for higher study without scholarship.

Everybody around him was saying in Bangladesh ICT sector has not boomed much; here CSE, EEE students have nothing to do. But young Hitoishi didn’t lose his hope. He searched for a company where he can start working with his passion in coding. Coding hasn’t been favorite for many. But for Hitoishi it gave him immense pleasure.

It was the tale of Hitoishi’s early stage of life 15 years back. After fifteen year’s Hitoishi has made up to be the Director of that company. His company has made the total Cyber Security Framework for the country. Also set the benchmark for others.

The story may sound fictional. But it’s true!  Our local ICT companies are developing hospital management software, banking management software, queue management software, RMG production & administrative software’s. They not only have prepared those but these software’s are currently up and running in our country.

Not only that our railway e-ticketing system, e-tender system, Hajj Management System and so on so forth government mega projects are implemented successfully by local ICT companies. Our ICT companies are implementing e-passport, Mass Rapid Transport, VAT Online Project, Toll Management System in Padma Bridge. Our country’s backbone is running by local software’s.

In the user level we know about the Ride Sharing Apps, Food Delivery App, Cash Transaction Apps which we use every day. But every sector from banking to hospital, government to private is using local software’s to run their operations.

All sorts of software’s in different verticals will exhibit their services under the umbrella of BASIS SoftExpo 2019, the largest regional technology congress of software companies.

From 19-21 March at ICCB, Bashundhara there will be 10 Special Zones. In the biggest Software Innovation Zone as many as 109 companies from different verticals who are providing services from banking, education, hospital, RMG, manufacturing, CRM, ERP and many more sector specific software will showcase their unique products.

It will be effective for Corporate Personnel’s who want to compare the software’s and find the best possible solution for their company. Out of 58 Bangladeshi banks 29 are using Bangladeshi software, 90% private hospitals are using Bangladeshi softwares, private banks are using local queue management software’s, RMG companies are using administrative local software.

Our ICT services have expanded up to many foreign verticals as well.

There will be Industry 4.0 Zone, Experience Zone which will uplift Bangladesh's ICT sector’s growth and development in the BASIS SoftExpo 2019.

VAT Zone, Digital Education Zone, Women Zone, Mobile Innovation Zone, Digital Commerce Zone, ITES & BPO Zone will showcase locally developed  revenue generating software. Also, business to business matchmaking session would be a unique opportunity in this event.

There will be corporate meeting opportunity in which more than 500 corporate high officials will participate. Business Leader’s Meet will focus on this cross cutting sector. This is so much to get incorporated in this event for the corporates.
