Dhaka Bank, DMTCL sign deal for CRM installation at 16 MRT stations

Dhaka Bank PLC. has entered into a strategic partnership with Dhaka Mass Transit Company Limited (DMTCL) to install Cash Recycling Machines (CRM) at 16 stations along the MRT Line-6.

The agreement was formalised at a signing ceremony held on Wednesday at DMTCL’s headquarters, Metrorail Bhaban, Diabari Depot, Sonargaon, Dhaka, according to a press release.

The agreement was signed by Mr. H.M. Mostafizur Rahaman, SEVP & Head of Retail Business Division, Dhaka Bank PLC., and Mr. Khondaker Ehteshamul Kabir, Company Secretary, DMTCL.

The event was graced by Mr. Mohammad Abdur Rauf, Managing Director of DMTCL, alongside senior officials from both organizations, including Mr. Md. Altamas Nirjhar, EVP & Head of General Services Division, and Mr. Mohammad Saifur Rahaman, SAVP from Dhaka Bank PLC.

This collaboration marks a significant step towards enhancing commuter convenience and supporting the government’s vision for a smart, cashless public transportation system. By installing CRMs at all 16 MRT Line-6 stations, commuters will have easy access to cash deposit and withdrawal services, contributing to greater financial inclusion and a seamless urban mobility experience.
