The MoU was signed by Mr. Osman Ershad Faiz, Managing Director of Dhaka Bank, and Air Commodore (Retd.) Md. Shaharul Huda, Executive Member of BIDA, on behalf of their respective organizations.
The integration will enable investors, both domestic and foreign, to seamlessly open Dhaka Bank accounts online through the OSS portal. It establishes a server-to-server connectivity for secure data exchange, ensuring faster, more transparent, and hassle-free banking services as part of the investment setup process in Bangladesh.
Mr. Osman Ershad Faiz, in his remarks at the ceremony, stated, “We express our sincere gratitude to BIDA for this visionary One Stop Service initiative, which is a transformative step for improving Bangladesh’s investment climate. By simplifying and digitalizing business setup, the OSS portal significantly enhances the country’s ability to attract foreign direct investment. Dhaka Bank, with its 30 years of experience and a strong reputation as a corporate-oriented bank, is perfectly positioned to support this national agenda. We are fully prepared to offer our expertise and tailored financial services to foreign and domestic investors through this integrated platform, ensuring a seamless and efficient banking experience.”
The event was attended by honorable BIDA Executive Chairman (with the rank of a State Minister) Chowdhury Ashik Mahmud Bin Harun as the Chief Guest. Dhaka Bank was represented at the ceremony by Mr. Aklaqur Rahman, Deputy Managing Director, and other senior officials of the bank. Also, BIDA Director General Jibon Krishna Saha Roy made a comprehensive presentation on the One Stop Service operations, while Deputy Director Abu Mohammad Nurul Hayat Totul moderated the programme.
