The 28th Dhaka International Trade Fair is all set to kick off on Wednesday, the first day of 2025.
Chief Advisor Muhammad Yunus will inaugurate the country's largest product exhibition at the Bangabandhu Bangladesh-China Friendship Exhibition Centre near Purbachal New Town at 10am on New Year’s Day.
A total of 362 stalls will be featured at the month-long fair. As many as eight countries, including Bangladesh, will be a part of this year’s trade fair, reports bdnews24.com.
On Tuesday morning, Export Promotion Bureau Director (Policy and Planning) Abu Mukhles Alamgir Hossain told bdnews24.com: “The honourable chief advisor will announce the inauguration of the 29th trade fair on Wednesday morning. We are making all kinds of preparations.”
"A press conference has been organised for this on Tuesday."
He added: "This time, the trade fair will have a total of 362 stalls and pavilions. Of them, 351 are stalls and pavilions of domestic companies. The remaining 11 stalls will be of companies from seven different countries."
Meanwhile, the Export Promotion Bureau has requested guests to carry their institutional or national identity cards with photos at the opening ceremony of the trade fair to avoid “unwanted and unpleasant incidents”.
