DHL eCommerce launches same-day delivery in Thailand with DHL Parcel Metro

DHL eCommerce, a division of Deutsche Post DHL Group, has announced the introduction of DHL Parcel Metro in Greater Bangkok.

It made the announcement in a Media OutReach-forwarded statement on Monday.

Under the DHL Parcel Metro service, Thai online retailers can offer consumers with same-day delivery, real-time tracking and flexible rescheduling of deliveries.

Currently, DHL eCommerce Thailand's delivery service, which includes 100 per cent nationwide coverage, offers same day and next day services for Tier 1 cities and 2-3 days for more remote areas.

DHL eCommerce CEO Charles Brewer said, “Megacities around the world are seeing rapid urbanization and strong growth in e-commerce.

“The resulting surge in parcel deliveries and the growing urban consumer's demands for same-day and instant gratification calls for innovative solutions -- like DHL Parcel Metro -- to enable faster and smarter deliveries, and relieve last mile pressures faced by retailers.”

DHL eCommerce is part of Deutsche Post DHL Group, and together with its sister divisions DHL Express, DHL Supply Chain and DHL Global Forwarding, the Group offers end-to-end solutions for e-commerce retailers and has been present in Thailand since 1973.
