A Biman Bangladesh Airlines flight headed to Dubai has been forced to make an emergency landing in India’s Nagpur due to a technical glitch.

All of the passengers and crew on board the Boeing aircraft are fine, bdnews24.com reported quoting Biman spokesperson Boshra Islam.

Alternative travel arrangements are being made for the 395 passengers on board, according to a Times of India report. The flight also carried 12 crew members.

According to an official statement from Biman, flight BG-347, a Boeing-777 aircraft, departed Dhaka for Dubai at 8:35 pm on Wednesday. Around 10:45pm, while the flight was in mid-air, the captain noticed a technical signal which resulted in the plane landing at India’s Nagpur airport.

All kinds of support are being provided to all the passengers at Nagpur airport, the statement said.

“Meanwhile, another Boeing-777 plane departed for Nagpur at 10:45 am on Thursday, arrived at 12:39 pm, picked up the waiting passengers and continued on to Dubai,” Boshra said.

The Biman authorities have apologised for the inconvenience caused to the passengers.
