Emirates to launch services to Helsinki from October

Emirates airline will launch a daily, year-round service between Helsinki and Dubai from 1 October 2026, marking the only direct air link between Finland and the UAE.

The service will be operated by Emirates’ newest aircraft, the A350, bringing the airline’s latest onboard products, including its acclaimed Premium Economy cabin, to Finland from day one, according to a media release. 

The flight schedule is designed to provide seamless connections across Emirates’ global network, including destinations in Asia, the Middle East, Africa, the Indian Ocean, and all five Australian cities, as well as New Zealand.

Adnan Kazim, Emirates’ Deputy President and Chief Commercial Officer, said the route responds to strong existing demand and will stimulate further growth by offering nonstop, premium connectivity. He highlighted Finland’s appeal as a destination for tourism, trade and business.

Tourism plays a vital role in Finland’s economy, with around 5 million international visitors in recent years. Named by Lonely Planet as a must-visit destination for 2026, Finland offers year-round attractions, from Northern Lights experiences and the Midnight Sun to extensive national parks and unique wildlife. Helsinki, consistently ranked among the world’s happiest cities, blends modern urban life with easy access to nature and culture.

Emirates SkyCargo expects to carry commodities such as pharmaceuticals, electronics, machinery, perishables and high-value goods, utilising up to 16 tonnes of bellyhold capacity per flight.

The A350 features three cabins—Business, Premium Economy and Economy—accommodating 298 passengers, with quieter cabins, advanced technology, the release adds.
