Evaly sponsors RAB’s film ‘Operation Sundarbans’

Local e-commerce company Evaly is going to sponsor a film titled ‘Operation Sundarbans’.

The film, based on RAB’s drive to remove pirates from the Sundarbans, will be produced by RAB Welfare Co-operative Society.

Shamima Nasrin, Chairman of Evaly, handed over a cheque of the sponsored amount to the Director General of RAB Additional Inspector General of Police Chowdhury Abdullah Al Mamun recently, according to a media release.

Under the direction of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina and the direct supervision of the Home Minister, the Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) acted as the ‘lead agency’ to liberate the Sundarbans from pirates and bandits, RAB said, adding that finally the Prime Minister declared the Sundarbans free of pirates on November 1, 2018.

The film ‘Operation Sundarbans’ is going to highlight this success story of the elite force, according to RAB.

Evaly founder and CEO Mohammad Rassel and Additional Director General of RAB Colonel Tofail Mostafa Sarwar, Director of Legal and Media wing Lieutenant Colonel Ashiq Billah, Lt Colonel Khairul Islam were present at the function among many other senior officials.
