This certification stands as an example of excellence in sustainability in the rapidly growing RMG industry in Bangladesh. Evince Group is one of the leading garments manufacturers of Bangladesh, practising with sustainability at its forefront, according to a statement.

Shah Rayeed Chowdhury, director of Evince Group and director of BGMEA, said, "BGMEA has developed a Sustainability Vision 2030 keeping SDGs as key KPIs, and through our active efforts, we will be able to offer a greener and more productive RMG industry of Bangladesh. Evince wishes to be one of the pioneers to move towards a revolution where sustainable developments are kept at the forefront."

Shah Adeeb Chowdhury, director of Evince Group, added, "We already have Platinum certification under LEED v4.1 for our Evitex Dress Shirt Ltd, and we have recently acquired the Gold certification for Evitex Apparels Ltd."

At Evince Group, they believe that sustainability is the way forward, he said, adding their vision is to achieve LEED certification for all of their concerns.

"We want to work with BGMEA to achieve the SDG goals, and lean into more ethical sourcing," he said.

Bangladesh currently hosts 105 Platinum-rated factories and 129 Gold-rated factories. With 248 LEED Certified RMG factories, Bangladesh holds a formidable position as a global leader in green garment manufacturing.

Bangladesh currently hosts 9 out of the world’s top 10 highest-rated LEED-certified factories, and 68 out of the top 100.

The booming growth of sustainable garment manufacturing holds a promising future for the RMG sector of Bangladesh.
