Express Insurance holds 24th AGM

The 24th Annual General Meeting of Express Insurance Ltd was held on Monday at IDEB Bhaban, Kakrail, Dhaka, by a hybrid (physical presence and online) system.

Mr Mazakat Harun, Vice Chairman of the Company, presided over the meeting, according to a media release. 

A number of shareholders were present in the meeting.

The Directors of the Company Mr Syed Al-Farooque, Mr ABM Kaiser, Independent Director and Chairman of Audit Committee Mr Md Hasanul Islam, Independent Director and Chairman of NRC Dr. Rezaul Kabir, Managing Director and CEO Md Badiuzzaman Lashkar, Chief Consultant Mr Md Anwar Hossain were physically present in the meeting.

Chairman Mr Amir Hamza Sarker, Directors Mr Asifur Rahman, Mr Latiful Bari, Mrs Farida Razzaq, Mrs Mahfuza Younus, Mrs Yasmin Ferdous, Mrs Marium Akhter and Ms Nadia Khalil Choudhury were present in the meeting by online system.

Also, the Additional Managing Director and Head of Underwriting and BCD Mr Md Nakibur Rahman Khan, CFO Mr Md Anowar Hossain, Head of Internal Audit Mr Md Al-Amin Gazi, Company Secretary Md Mohiuddin Khondaker and other high officials were physically present in the meeting.

A 7 per cent cash dividend for the year 2023 was approved in the meeting. Shareholders who were physically present in the meeting discussed and addressed the Annual Report, Directors Report & Auditor Report for the year ended 31 December 2023, the release adds.
