Fair Electronics achieves Green Factory Award 2025

Fair Electronics, the proud manufacturer of mobile phone and consumer electronics of Hisense and Samsung in Bangladesh, has been awarded with the prestigious Green Factory Award 2025, presented by the Ministry of Labour and Employment, Government of the People's Republic of Bangladesh.

Mr. Mutassim Daiaan, Director of Fair Group received the award in “Electric and Electronics Product Manufacturing Industry” category for Fair Electronics from Advisers Brig. Gen. (R) M. Sakhawat Hussain, Adviser Ministry of Labour and Employment and Ministry of Shipping and Mr. Adilur Rahman Khan, Adviser, Ministry of Industries and Ministry of Housing and Public Works and Mr. A H M Shafiquzzaman, Secretary, Adviser, Ministry of Labour and Employment, according to a media release. 

Fair Electronics' state-of-the-art manufacturing factory in Shibpur, Narsingdi, employs hundreds of skilled Bangladeshi workers.

At this factory, environmental risk assessments, employee training, and implementation of green policies are regularly conducted under the ISO 14001:2015 Environmental Management System.

It has been at the forefront of implementing green technologies, energy-efficient systems, and international compliance standards in the production of global brands.

This Green Factory Award is a testament to Fair Electronics’ long-standing vision of building a sustainable future while delivering innovation, quality, and world-class Hisense products to Bangladeshi consumers, the release says. 

Fair Electronics has consistently demonstrated leadership in industrial excellence with several national awards to its name, including:

  • President’s Industrial Development Award 2020 – 1st Position in the Hi-Tech Industry Category
  • National Productivity and Quality Excellence Award 2022 – “The first prize in the Steel & Engineering Category.”
  • Recognition as the First Global Brand Manufacturer in Bangladesh (Samsung, 2019) by the Bangladesh government.
  • National Highest VAT Payer (FY 2018–2019)

Senior officials of fair group Dr. Md. Selim Reza, Director, Legal, Estate & Regulatory Affairs, Mr. Alak Chakraborty, DGM HR, Mr. Maruf Hasan Bhuiyan, DGM-Corporate & Regulatory Affairs, graced the occasion, the release adds.
